Community Engagement Officer
3 days (21 hours), Starting Salary £22,572 (pro-rata £13,543)
Fixed-term contract, 18 months with possibility of extension
The Rochdale Pioneers Museum are seeking to appoint a Community Engagement Officer at an exciting time in the Museum’s development. Following an Arts Council funded Resilience Project we are seeking to reposition the Museum as an active force for social change. The team are committed to taking bold risks to engage the local community, moving the Museum from being a memorial to an active hub of contemporary co-operation. The Community Engagement Officer will play a crucial role in making this happen, building relationships and embedding community engagement in the Museum’s offer.
The post is based at the Rochdale Pioneers Museum but will require some work at the National Co-operative Archive based in Manchester. The postholder will hold a joint contract with the Co-operative Heritage Trust and the Co-operative College.
The closing date for applications is midday Wednesday 21 December.
Shortlisting will take place by Friday 6 January and an assessment centre for successful applicants will be held on Wednesday 10 January.
